Abstract :
Background : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) was a metabolism disorder which becomes world's problem. Incident of this disease increase especially DM type II so will lead in chronic complication of DM and mortality because chronic complication of DM, one of them is Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI).
Purpose : To know the relevancy between blood glucose control on diabetes mellitus's patient type II with incident of mortality caused by acute myocardial infarction.
Research method : Observational analysis descriptive with Cross Sectional design. The population were diabetes mellitus's patient at Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang hospital from January ÂDecember 2008 and the sample as much as 39 patients with totally sampling, through medical record. The data was analyzed by Chi square test.
Experimental Result : Based on Chi Square test, there was significant corelation between blood glucose control on diabetes mellitus's patient type II with incident of mortality because acute myocardial infarction supported with pÂvalue 0,04. ,
Conclusion : There was significant corelation between blood glucose control on diabetes mellitus's patient type II with incident of mortality because acute myocardial infarction.
