Abstract :
This research describes the role of single parent women in meeting economic needs as an effort to realize family prosperity. The background of this research is a single parent left by the death of a partner. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were direct observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the role of single parent women in meeting economic needs is an effort to realize family welfare through their role as mother, role as educator, role as friend, role as member of society.
