Abstract :
The use of beach sand as a building material is still rarely performed due to the salt content of the sand beach more than the river sand, garampun elements can cause damage to the reinforcement of concrete. Examination showed that the gradation of sand pantaipun fine sand grains. Does this also affects the strength of concrete, and how much influence. In this study, cylindrical concrete specimens with a height of 30 cm, diameter 15 cm, for each variable used in testing each of 3 specimens. Tests conducted in this research is to cement the physical, physical, sand, gravel abrasion, compressive strength of concrete, concrete strength and modulus of elasticity split concrete. By using PPC, concrete compressive strength as compared with sandy beach sandy river compressive strength was 45% - 60% at age 14 days, and 60% - 80% at age 46 days. By using a PC, the strength of concrete as compared with sandy beach sandy river compressive strength is 60% - 65% at age 14 days, and 65% - 85% at age 42 days. Split cylinder strength of concrete ranged between 8% - 10% of the strength of concrete. Modulus of elasticity is affected directly by the strength of concrete.
