Abstract :
The School health program is the effort to guide and improve the students to keep their health in the school. It is done by a whole member of the school. Hopefully, parents and the school staff are able to increase the health program in school and school grade of the students. Furthermore, if their parents have no participation on it, they will not know their children condition in the school. Also, they will not know how their children motivation in class. From the statement above, the writer wants to get information or data and describe about what kinds of effort that has been done by SMPN 24 Malang to improve parent?s participation in school health program (UKS). The research design used in this study is descriptive research that was designed to obtain information concerning the evaluation technique. It means that the writer just explain about problem which is faced by school in improving parents? participation in health program at SMPN 24 Malang. The population of this research is a whole parent of the students of SMPN 24 Malang. The sample of this research is parents of the students in 7A, 8A and 8B class. The instrument used in this research is unstructured or open questionnaire which is shared to parents. The result of this research based on the questionnaire show that most of the program well done yet. From the first program that is education program and participation parents program in increasing school health which has been given from school still less participation. It can be proved from average of the data which less than 50%. Besides, just one program which has been done well that is health program and safety food that has been delivered to the parents. The average of the data reached 70%. From the result of the research, it is suggested to the school and parents to have a cooperation to increase health programs in the school. And also, hopefully to the health team are able to increase the education health service and give information about health school program. The last but not the least for the other researcher to have a good preparation before do the same research.
