Abstract :
Plant nutrition is the content of nutrients in the form of chemical substances that plants need to continue their life cycle. Absorption of nutrients in the hydroponic system is found from the flow of nutrients around the plant roots. So that at this stage the concentration of nutrients is a determining factor for good plant quality, each plant has different nutrient concentration needs, with different types and types of plants, the concentration of nutrients needed is also different. This study aims to determine the effect of formulation and concentration of nutrients on the growth of romaine lettuce plants. This study used a Split Plot Design which was divided into 3 main plots and 3 subplots. In the main plot it consists of N1 (Cooper), N2 (Sutiyoso) and N3 (Resh) then in the 3 sub plots it consists of K1 (300 ppm), K2 (600 ppm) and K3 (900 ppm). The interaction of formulations and nutrient concentrations had a significant effect on the growth of romaine lettuce. For plant height, leaf chlorophyll, leaf area and shoot ratio were the highest values of the N1K3 combination. In terms of stem diameter, root and plant weight and root dry weight, stem diameter, root length, chlorophyll, root and plant wet weight, root dry weight had the highest value in the combination N2K3, and the combination N1K1 was the highest in terms of root length and root ratio. . The interaction of nutrient formulations and concentrations had no effect on the number of leaves and plant dry weight.
