ABSTRACT Effa Putri Wulandari, 2022, 201510360311113, University of Muhammdiyah Malang, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, International Relations Department, The Role of Transparency International as a Global Civil Society in Preventing Corruption in Indonesia, Advisor I: Najamuddin Khairur Rijal, S.IP., M.Hub. Int. Advisor II: Havidz Ageng Prakoso, S.IP., MA. This study focuses to analyze the role of Transparency International in preventing corruption in Indonesia. Combating corruption is not only the obligation and duty of the government, the society also has the same rights and responsibilities. In Indonesia TI is always involved by the government in various activities to build a Corruption Perception Index. Until now, CPI is still used as a reference by the government to seeing developments and measuring the level of corruption that occurs. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The concept of Global Civil Society was chosen to analyze the role of TI in combating corruption. The results of this research is there are five roles of GCS that relevant with the role of TI. First, as an expert TI consistently releases CPI and implements the Pakta Integritas. Second, as a watchdog TI monitors the implementation of Presidential Regulation 54/2018 regarding Stranas PK. The third is advocate, TI collaborates with Swara Parangpuan to campaign about corruption prevention, initiating Suara Pemuda Anti Korupsi (SPEAK), Pamflet, Penpol Muda Garut, and Ayo Vote!. Fourth, as a capacity builder TI organizes public seminars and anti-corruption training. The last is citizenship champion, TI routinely make qualifications and initiates movement related to the implementation of Open Government Partnership (OGP).
