Abstract :
Criminal sanctions are one of the legal efforts in order to bring order to society. As regulated in Law Number 12 of 2011 concerning the Formation of Legislation which states that criminal sanctions must be listed in Regional Regulations and Regency / City Regulations, so that local governments need to make sanctions that are safe to bring order to the community. The above problems are proposed in the formulation of the problem, namely How is the position of Criminal Sanctions in Provincial Regulations and Regency/City Regional Regulations and what is the urgency of Criminal Sanctions in Provincial Regulations and Regency/City Regional Regulations To help answer the problem formulation, the method used is normative juridical, namely using data positivist and theoretical legal concepts. In this context, it is necessary to review criminal sanctions in Regional Regulations because there is an impression of coercion in terms of carrying out sentences
