Abstract :
The conflict between groups supporting Zulkifli Hasan and groups supporting Mulfachri Harahap at the V Congress of the National Mandate Party in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, is the background to the problems in this study. The purpose of this study is to explain the conflicts that occurred between groups in the V Congress and their impact on the consolidation of the Partai Amanat Nasional organization using Lewis A. Coser's functional analysis theory. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study explained that the occurrence of inter-group conflict was caused by several factors such as power struggles, differences in views from party leaders regarding the goals of PAN, the function of the congress as the highest consolidation agenda and Amien Rais' partiality towards the general chairman candidate in this case Mulfachri Harahap. The impact on the course of organizational consolidation is going well, this is characterized by the management reuniting regardless of differences in support at the Fifth Congress.
