Abstract :
Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global public health problem with an increasing prevalence and incidence of kidney failure, poor prognosis and high costs. As a conservative treatment for CKD, hemodialysis can cause many physical, psychological and social problems for the patient. Various complications, including hypotension, muscle cramps, imbalance syndrome, nausea and vomiting, and dyspnea, with varying degrees of incidence are possible in patients during hemodialysis. Nausea becomes a very disturbing complication during the HD process, so non-pharmacological therapy is needed to overcome this complication. The purpose of this scientific work is to analyze the nursing care of foot massage on Mr. B with PGK in the Hemodialysis Room of the General Hospital of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Methods: The research method used in the preparation of this Final Scientific Paper uses case study reports. In writing the scientific method in accordance with the rules of the nursing process which include: Assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. Result : After giving nursing intervention for 1 day to Mr. B. Result of case analysis in patient Mr. B with CKD in three diagnoses, namely Nausea, Hypervolemia, and Risk for Nutritional Deficit. With the results of providing nursing care for CKD patients foot massage therapy, the patient said that nausea was reduced and appetite increased Conclusion: Based on the results of the intervention that has been given, foot massage therapy can be an alternative non-pharmacological action to treat nausea in patients undergoing hemodialysis which of course can also be applied by the family because it does not require special tools to do it at home if nausea occurs again.
