Abstract :
This research was carried out based on the lack of students' speaking skills perceived by teachers and students at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Batu and to find out, this study was conducted to find out that Arabic vocabulary has an important role in speech ability. This study aims to determine the relationship between Arabic vocabulary mastery and speech ability. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The sample in this study were 34 respondents. Data analysis used Pearson's Product Moment formula to determine whether there was a correlation between Arabic vocabulary mastery and speech ability. This study shows that there is a significant effect between vocabulary mastery and speech skills. The relationship between vocabulary mastery and speech ability is included in the level of a strong relationship in the interval 0.60-0.799 based on the table, it can be concluded that mastery of good vocabulary to improve their skills in speaking good speech.
