Abstract :
The criminal act of corruption, bribery, is a crime that intersects with Gratification. Both are actions that are considered as acts that are prohibited by law. It's just that the difference is that in the criminal act of bribery, bribery needs to be proven that there is an agreement between the giver and the recipient, it also needs to be proven that the gift influences and encourages public officials to do something or not to do something that is contrary to the obligations based on the authority they have. The danger of gratification and its influence on public officials is a source of conflicts of interest. A state that gains power and authority based on statutory regulations has or is suspected of having a personal interest in any use of its authority so that it can affect the quality and performance it should have. Therefore, the government must always be vigilant in tackling the problem of corruption in Indonesia. The law in Indonesia is also still not able to work according to the actual rule of law, many officials who commit corruption only get punishments that are not commensurate with what they do.
