Abstract :
This study explains the environmental damage that occurs in the community and is raised in a film. The author reveals this phenomenon in a film because the older the earth is, the greater the development of pollution due to environmental damage. This study aims to describe (1) the forms of natural damage depicted in the film and (2) some of the impacts of natural damage depicted in the film. This research is a qualitative research. The data source in this study is a cartoon film entitled Dr. Seuss The Lorax. The research data is in the form of pictures and excerpts from the dialogues. Data collection techniques were carried out using documentation, observing, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
In the cartoon Dr. Seuss The Lorax there are several research results, including (1) forms of natural damage in the cartoon Dr. Seuss The Lorax consists of environmental pollution and deforestation and (2) the effects of natural destruction in the cartoon Dr. Seuss The Lorax consists of the loss of clean air in Thneedville and the departure of the forest dwellers.
