Abstract :
Parents have an essential role in preventing adolescents from free-sex behavior. Parents have been identified as ideal sexual educators because they are able to reach adolescents from an early age to provide sexual information. Religious parents can have an influence on the lives of adolescent's sexuality. This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity on parent-adolescent sexual communication behavior mediated by intention. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey design. Data collection in this study used a purposive sampling technique with the subjects in this study amounting to 315 parents. Based on the mediation test, the results of this study indicate that there is a direct influence of religiosity on the sexual communication behavior of parents-adolescents with an estimate value of the direct effect of (-0.060 P = 0.001) and there is an indirect effect of religiosity on the sexual communication behavior of parents. - adolescents are mediated by intention with an estimate indirect effect value of (0.022 P = 0.001).
