Abstract :
This research was motivated by the Semeru eruption that hit Lumajang Regency and had an impact on Supiturang 2 Lumajang State Elementary School, especially on the subject of Islamic Religious Education. The learning process cannot run as usual and the emergence of problems in learning. However, the school did not stay silent and tried to find a way out of the problem. Therefore, researchers want to know how the learning process, learning problems, and efforts to overcome learning problems in Supiturang 2 Lumajang State Elementary School. This research uses a qualitative case-study approach, in which data is obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the learning process of Islamic Religious Education at Supiturang 2 Lumajang State Elementary School is to start teaching and learning activities by praying first then memorizing the letters in juz 30 together and continuing with the subjects; 2) The problem of learning Islamic Religious Education at Supiturang 2 Lumajang State School is that student handbooks are not available, Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) are still not optimal, students are not able to understand the subchapter "History of Islamic civilization", school facilities and infrastructure which are less supportive, the inculcation of religious values cannot be carried out, and has not been able to carry out extracurricular activities in schools; 3) Efforts made by Supiturang 2 Lumajang State Elementary School in overcoming the existing problems, namely the teacher using the "Write Out" system, delivering all the material in the even semester quickly, the teacher using a method that is in accordance with the material sub-chapter, maximizing the facilities and infrastructure available. owned, spiritual implementation every Friday, and participating in competitions.
