Abstract :
Consumptive behavior is vulnerable to attack by teenagers because teenagers are in the phase of searching for identity, often imitating what they see which they think is good to imitate. Teenagers who in fact are in hormonal, physical, and mental development tend to follow what is currently trending, including buying things that are not needed. In a pandemic like now, many people use online shopping applications to buy the needs and items they want. This study uses a Likert scale with one variable, namely the consumptive behavior of 149 respondents obtained from the distribution of the scale on social media. The analysis technique used descriptive and Pearson tests to determine the most influencing aspect using SPSS 25. The results showed that the level of consumptive behavior in adolescents during the covid-19 pandemic was at low and moderate levels. It can be seen that all respondents are classified as low and moderate consumptive behavior. Respondents who have low consumptive behavior are 48 people or 32.2%. Consists of 39 women and 9 men. While respondents who have moderate consumptive behavior are 101 people or 67.8%. Consisting of 82 women and 19 men. In addition, the aspect of Consumptive Behavior with the highest dimension was obtained by Wasteful Buying with a score of 0.911. This score is obtained after calculating the Pearson correlation by connecting the overall item value with the total item value per aspect.
