Abstract :
Services in the health sector are very important considering that the
territory of Indonesia has a high risk of various natural disasters including
earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Based on these conditions and
phenomena require an increase in the quality of health services. The
SPGDT 119 Public Service is one of the government's new programs in
providing health services, especially in the emergency sector. Magetan
Regency is one of the regencies in East Java that already has this 119 Public
Safety Center emergency service. This service was formed because the
number of emergency cases in Magetan Regency has increased every year.
However, since there was a COVID-19 pandemic, emergency services in
Magetan Regency have changed, namely as a call center for handling
COVID-19 as well as the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling
COVID-19. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive. This study aims to find
out how responsive emergency services are through the Public Safety
Center 119 during a pandemic. The Public Safety Center 119 service during
the pandemic was very good. This can be seen from the officers responding
to all incoming calls to the 119 call center, the officers also providing timely
service in accordance with the PSC 119 service response time, the officers
have also carried out services in accordance with the service SOP as a form
of service responsibility, then the officers also provide services to patients
according to the emergency service algorithm. In carrying out services
during a pandemic, the Public Safety Center 119 also experienced
obstacles, one of which was that the referral hospital for COVID-19 patients
experienced an overload so that many patients died before being treated by
medical personnel. In addition, there are many people in Magetan Regency
who do not know about this service, so the Public Safety Center 119 with
the Magetan District Health Office must carry out massive outreach
regarding this service.
