Abstract :
Background: The mortuary has the potential to pose a threat to officers. One of the risks of infection for officers is tuberculosis and HIV. With knowledge a person has the basis for making the right decision. Knowledge is influenced by factors including age and length of work. Objective: To determine the relationship between age and length of work of mortuary workers with knowledge of TB and HIV infection from the mortuary. Methods: This type of research is analytic observation with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 20 corpse disposal officers in three hospitals in Malang. Questionnaires were distributed to officers. Then the data obtained was carried out by bivariate analysis with Fisher Exact Test analysis and multivariate analysis with logistic regression analysis test with SPSS. Research results: The Fisher Exact Test showed that the age variable had a result of p(Sig.) = 0.020 (p <0.05) and length of work had a result of p(Sig.) = 0.005 (p <0.05), this shows There is a relationship between age and length of work with knowledge of TB and HIV infection. The results of the Logistic Regression test showed that age and length of work had a significant effect on knowledge of TB and HIV infection, age (p=0.031; P<0.05) and length of work (p=0.005; p<0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between age and length of work on knowledge of TB and HIV infection and age and length of work have a significant effect on knowledge of TB and HIV infection.
