Abstract :
Instability in the availability of energy sources and the suitability of the cost of the system is a major problem in the design of solar panel and wind turbine hybrid generation systems. The configuration of the system must have a high level of reliability for the availability of a high power supply but at a minimum cost. The purpose of this study is to find the most optimal or balanced configuration between the level of technical reliability and the total annual cost of the number of solar panels, wind turbines and battery capacity. An appropriate power management strategy is needed by adjusting the renewable energy potential to the existing load power demand. Loss of Power Supply Probability (LPSP) is a method of determining the ratio of power unavailability generated by the system configuration used for technical analysis. Annualized Cost of System (ACS) is a method of determining the amount of annual costs during the project process which is used as an economic analysis. From the simulation results, it was found that the Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm could be an alternative method for finding the best system configuration with low LPSP and ACS levels. The DE algorithm was chosen because it has a better level of efficiency (accuracy) and the time needed to find the global optimum is faster than other algorithms.
