ABSTRACK Bita Armila, Nucky.2023. The Effectiveness of Using Board Game Towards Vocabulary Mastery At SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. English Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Advisors: (1) Yasmika Baihaqi, M.Pd (2) Eva Faliyanti, M.Pd. Vocabulary is one of the important aspects in learning English. The students? vocabulary mastery in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro is still low. To solve this problem, the researcher applied board game. Board game is one of the learning media that can be used to learn English in addition to the fun media, the material provided is more interesting for students? to learn. The research aims to discover significant difference of students? vocabulary mastery before and after being taught by using Board Game Media and to find out effect towards the use of board game in the vocabulary mastery at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. In this research used quantitative research with pre-test and post-test The sample was taken from XI AKL and XI TKJ which consisted of 30 students?. The result of this research is the pre-test given to the experimental and control group, yielded a mean of 62,19 and 51,05 and found that mean of post test between control and experimental result is significantly different as the control group obtained 70,86 and experimental group got 82,85. It means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, board game at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro is effective and significant on English Vocabulary Mastery. Key Words: Vocabulary Mastery, Board Game
