Abstract :
The study was conducted to find out the significant of Talking Chips Technique (TCT) to the speaking ability at XI IPS class of MAN 1 Poncowati. This research is an experimental research and the subject of the research is 70 students at XI IPS Class MAN 1 Poncowati. There are 35 students for control group and 35 students for experimental group. The result ofaverage score of pre-test at experimental group and control group are 48.80 and 47.77. It shows that the control group is higher than the experimental group. However, the result of the post test of the experimental group is higher the control group, they are 65.14. for the experimental group and 55.26 for the control group. It can be concluded that there is significant influence in students? speaking ability after being taught by using Talking Chips Technique (TCT.
