Abstract :
Loanword is the process of importing linguistic items from one linguistic system into another that occurs any time when two cultures are in contact over a period of time. Researchers are very interested in this topic because the use of borrowed language in Indonesia has become a very common thing, causing theIndonesian language itself to be left behind. This research aims to identify the types ofloanwords used the record of Kick Andy Double Check Episode 6Ketakutan Dibalik Bebasnya Umar Patek6. Aired on March 02, 2022. To analyze the type of loanwordsthe author used theory of Hocket (1958) in Martini et al (2022) that classify intothree types (loanword, loan blend, and loan shift). The writer concerns with twomain problems such as: 1. What are the types of English loan words in Kick AndyTalk show 2. What are the English borrowing words and their meanings in Kick Andy Talk Show. The researchers used qualitative method and it is used to analyze type of english loanword. The result come from trancripts of video interview The result it8s found 7,69% loanword, loan blend 90,17 % and loan shift 2,14 %. The researcher also found 84 data, the most dominant type loanwords found is 14 data loan word, 68 data loan blend, and 2 data loan shift. It means English loan blend frequently occur in Indonesia. For the Indonesian meanings are taken from KBBI and for the English meanings are taken from Cambridge dictionary.
