Abstract :
The aim of this research is to find out the effect and significant difference of
Promova application for students in majoring Post Harvesting Technology in
vocabulary mastery at SMK N 2 Metro. Promova application is a languagelearning
app. It supports learning various languages to varying degrees, with
English being the best supported, with lots of content, options and learning with
Promova is similar to playing a game, which is one of the things that kept users
engaged. This Promova application can also build their enthusiasm and
motivation in learning vocabulary mastery. The use of interesting media can
create a pleasant learning atmosphere and make students enthusiastic during
the learning process. This research used quasi experimental design. The
subjects of this research is the tenth grade students in majoring Post Harvesting
Technology at SMK N 2 Metro academic year 2023/2024.
The data analysis results indicated that the obtained t value (to) was higher
than the t table value (18.493 > 2.000). In addition, the second data indicated
that the obtained t value (to) was higher than the t table value (7.490 > 2.000).
There was an increase in both classes, even though after the data was entered
into SPSS, the score for experimental class still resulted in a significant
increase. From the score in a experimental class, the result showed that the
post-test score is the better and higher than the pre-test score. In conclusion,
teaching English vocabulary using the Promova app is effective for mastering
students vocabulary skills and makes a significant difference.
