Abstract :
Listening is the most difficult skills to learn by students9 nowadays. It is the
act of consciously receiving and interpreting sounds or information through the
ears. This study aims to find out whether the Dictogloss technique has an effect
and makes significant differences toward listening ability of beginner class students
at SMA Yos Sudarso Metro in academic year 2023/2024. Dictogloss is an
integrated skills technique in learning a language in which students work together
to create a reconstructed version of a text read to them by their teacher. This
research used Quasi-Experimental design. The subject of this research was
beginner class students at SMA Yos Sudarso Metro.
