Abstract :
The aim of this reseach is to find out of the effect of direct method toword vocbulary mastery. This research usedquantitative research.The reseacer used cluster random sempling technique and uses t-test formula. The instrument of the research are pre-test and post test. The population of the research consisted 71 students at the eighth grade in Mts Riyadlatul?Ulum. The reseacher take 46 students as the sample, then divided into two grup, 24 students as the control class and 22 as the experiment class. The result of analysis was indicated that the value of t obtained (6.336)
was higher than that of t table (2.07) at the significance level 0.05 and the
significance (0.000) was lower than 0.05. That is why, the hypothesis is accepted.
It means that teaching vocabulary mastery using the direct method at the eight
grade students of Mts Riyadlatul?Ulumis effective. The researcher realizes that
this research finding is so far to be perfect, therefore, he expects other
researchers to do further investigations so that they can find other research
findings related to this problem.The researcher hopes that the other researcher
can develop this research to be better.
