Abstract :
In teaching learning process, the teacher has an important role to give
motivation students' and contribution for the student?s success in learning, for
example is using Webtoon Application in speaking. The purpose of this research
is to know whether significant of using webtoon application towards students
speaking ability at the tenth graders of Minhajuttulab Senior High School Way
Jepara. The use of Webtoon Application may contribute to give motivation to the
students in order to be more interested in the subject of speaking. Moreover, if
students are interested in the subject of speaking, the achievement of students'
speaking comprehension skill will be improved.
The research was conducted by quantitative methods. The population of the
research consisted of 40 students. The research divided into two class, those are
20 students as the experimental class and 20 students as the control class, the
total of the sample consists of 40 students. The research used Convenience
sampling technique and an analysis by using t-test formula. The instruments of this
research were pre-test and post-test. The result of analysis was indicated that the
value of t obtained (8.525) was higher than that of t table (6.440) at the significance
level 0.05 and the significance (0.000) was lower than 0.05). It means that there
was significant influence toward students' speaking ability using Webtoon
Application at the tenth graders of Minhajuttulab Senior High School Way Jepara.
