Abstract :
This research is entitled Kesepian pada Lagu Lagu Karya Gnash. The purposes of this research are to describe dimension of loneliness and the causes of loneliness. This research use loneliness aspect theory from Hymel and Rotenberg (1999) and for the causes of loneliness use Brehm, et.al theory (2001). The research method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research approach in this study used mimetic approach. The finding shows that there are three dimensions of loneliness in Gnash?s songs, there are emotional dimension such as sadness and boredom, cognitive dimension that is lack of moral support, feel like they not worth it and interpersonal dimension such as loss, rejection, unconcern. Besides, there are three causes of loneliness in the lyrics of the songs, there are inadequacies in our relationships such as unattached, broke up with a lover, being alone, changes in what we want from a relationship, interpersonal behaviors such as interpreting someone behaviors in a negative way, do not really like others.
