Abstract :
bronchitis occurs due to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza virus, para influenza virus, cigarette smoke, inhaled air pollution during the incubation of the virus approximately 5 to 8 days. These irritants cause inflammation of the tracheobronchial tree, leading to increased secretion production and narrowing or blockage of the airway. As the inflammatory process continues, changes in the cells that make up the walls of the respiratory tract will result in a small airway resistance and a severe ventilation-perfusion imbalance resulting in decreased oxygenation of the arterial area. Additional effects include widespread inflammation, narrowing of the airways and accumulation of mucus in the airways.
