Abstract :
Postpartum is the process of expelling the products of conception called the womb. Or also the puerperium, this period begins after birth and ends when the uterine apparatus returns to its pre-pregnancy period which lasts approximately for the next 6 weeks when normal pregnancy involution occurs. The problem that occurs is a decrease in uterine contractions, pain such as heartburn in the abdomen. The aim is to understand and apply Effleurage Massage to the Pain Scale in Normal Postpartum Mothers in the Cariu Health Center Work Area. The results of this study were a decrease in pain from a pain scale of 5 (0-10) to 2(0-10). Based on the results of research, non-pharmacological therapy effleurage massage can be applied to reduce uterine contraction pain in postpartum mothers. The conclusion is that there is a change in the decrease in uterine contraction pain after doing effleurage messages to postpartum mothers. Suggestions for normal postpartum mothers Can help mothers to be able to sleep comfortably so that mothers do not depend on the use of pharmacological techniques.
