Abstract :
Based on the World Health Organization WHO (Word Health Organization) states that COPD in 2020 will become the fifth leading cause of death in the world and is estimated to be the cause of death worldwide in 2030. The problem found in COPD is disorders of breathing patterns. In this paper the author will discuss about nonnamed techniques that can improve the patient's breathing pattern. The purpose of the Orthopnea Position is to understand and apply the technique to COPD patients with ineffective breathing patterns. After applying the orthopnea position for 3 consecutive days in 1 week, the results obtained a significant decrease in frequency and improved breathing patterns, the conclusion obtained is that the orthopnea position technique is a chest physiotherapy technique that has an effect on the treatment of ineffective breathing pattern problems in patients COPD.
