Abstract :
Hypertension is a condition of a person who experiences an increase in high blood pressure above normal which is indicated by a systolic number and a number below diastolic on 6 blood pressure checks using a blood pressure measuring device which is usually a mercury cuff (sphygmanometer) or other digital device. Hypertension cases according to WHO 2015 data show that around 1.13 billion people in the world suffer from hypertension. Hypertension can be treated with pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapy, namely Mozart classical music therapy. The purpose of this study was to apply Mozart classical music therapy to reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This research method uses case studies. Researchers applied Mozart classical music technique for 3 consecutive day. giving classical music is done for 10-15 minutes in the morning. The results obtained after the application were a decrease in blood pressure from 160/100 mmHg to 150/90 mmHg. It can be concluded that there is an effect of giving Mozart classical music to decrease blood pressure.
