Abstract :
According to WHO recommends that breastfeeding mothers be informed about the benefits and advantages of breast milk, especially because breast milk provides the best nutrition for babies and protects against disease. Breast milk is an emulsion of fat in a protein solution of lactose and Inorganic salts secreted by the mother?s mammary glands and useful as baby food ( Maryunani, 2012). Ineffective breastfeeding can be overcome by pharmacological or non phamacological therapy. Non pharmacological therapy is believed to be safer and can provide good effects. One of the non pharmamacological therapies for breastfeeding mothers is giving katuk leaves as a result of the application of giving katuk leaves to determine the effectiveness of breastfeeding. This research method uses a case study strategy. The auther uses the therapy of giving katuk leaves for smooth breastfeeding. The results of the study found that the patient experienced breastfeeding for a week so that the baby was given formula milk. The results of the implementation showed a change after the patient was given katuk leaves once a day for three days. Breast milk producation Ny.A becomes effective it can be concluded that giving katuk leaves has an effect on the smoothness of breast milk in nursing mothers.
