Abstract :
Technological developments have had such a huge impact on the community, one of which is the emergence of illegal online loan companies that are increasingly mushrooming everywhere, which creates public unrest regarding this illegal loan, namely by actions taken by desk collectors who violate the law even though Bank Indonesia has regulated the principals. the principal of billing ethics in the circular letter of bank Indonesia Number 11/10/DSAP which was changed to number 14/17/DSAP regarding the operation of payment instruments by credit card. During the Covid-19 pandemic, there was an increase in public complaints about this loan, of course, this made the community feel threatened by all the actions of the desk collector who violated the law. In 2002, this study aims to find out how the role of the Sukabumi City Resort Police is in tackling cybercrimes in Sukabumi City and what obstacles are faced by the Sukabumi City Resort Police in eradicating these crimes. The research in writing this thesis is an empirical research in which the researcher directly conducts research on the parties concerned through interviews. Actions against the law carried out by desk collectors are usually insults or defamation in Article 27 paragraph (3) of the ITE Law, extortion and/or defamation in Article 27 paragraph 4) of the ITE Law, Stalking Article 29 of the ITE Law, Interception or wiretapping of Article 29 of the ITE Law. , for this the police have efforts to tackle criminal acts committed by desk collectors, these efforts include non-penal (preventive) and penal (repressive) efforts, the Sukabumi City Police in carrying out efforts to overcome cybercrime by desk collectors there are the inhibiting factors faced by the Sukabumi City resort police, the inhibiting factors are from the internal police and external or outside the police themselves
