Abstract :
Hypertension is a disease that is commonly suffered by the community, hypertension is a condition where blood pressure continuously increases. Hypertension is often called The Silent Disease or a hidden disease, which sufferers are often not aware of. Management of hypertension includes pharmacological and non-pharmacological management. One of the nonpharmacological management of hypertension is drinking boiled avocado leaves. The purpose of this study was to perform nursing care with nonpharmacological management avocado leaf boiled water in lowering blood pressure for hypertension sufferers. The research method used in this research is a case study. Researchers conducted case studies to respondents directly and boiled avocado leaves themselves. A decoction of avocado leaves is given once a day for seven consecutive days. The results obtained were that after the respondents drank boiled water from avocado leaves, that found a decrease in blood pressure from 160/90 mmHg to 130/80 mmHg. It can be concluded that there is an effect of boiled water from avocado leaves on reducing high blood pressure.It is hoped that clients and families can use nonpharmacological therapy of avocado leaf decoction to lower blood pressure, increase and expand knowledge about hypertension to prevent the occurrence of hypertension complications.
