Abstract :
Pregnancy is an event in a woman that begins with the meeting of the egg (ovum) and sperm
cells, followed by fertilization (conception), nidation, and implantation. It has been
mentioned that 13% of pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum of all pregnancies
in West Java. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a complaint of extreme nausea and vomiting that
occurs more than ten times a day, which can cause fluid discharge, weight loss, and into
electrolyte pools and endanger the fetus in the womb. The purpose of writing this scientific
paper was to apply lemon aromatherapy to treat nausea and vomiting in pregnant women
with hyperemesis at Kp. Cikawung, Sukabumi Regency. The method of writing this paper
is done using observation, interviews, and literature studies. The therapeutic application
with lemon aromatherapy was done from 8-14 May 2023. The results obtained after this
application were reduced nausea and vomiting in first-trimester pregnant women with
hyperemesis. It can be concluded that there is no interest between theory and cases. This
paper suggests that lemon therapy is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting for
pregnant women with hyperemesis
