Abstract :
Gastritis is a state of inflammation or bleeding in the gastric mucosa which can be local, acute,
chronic. related to the prevalence of Helicobacter pilory infection that can cause gastritis
Inflammation of the gastric mucosa in gastritis can cause pain. One of the nonpharmacological management is with warm compresses. The results of the application of warm
compresses in writing scientific papers aim to determine the effectiveness of reducing the pain
scale in gastritis patients. The method used by the author is a case study. The author provides
an application of warm compresses using a jar with a temperature range of <40ºC for 10-15
minutes 2 times a day. The results of the application showed that after giving warm compresses
for 3 days it decreased from a pain scale of 6 (0-10) to 2 (0-10). The researchers concluded
that the application of warm compresses was very influential in reducing pain in gastritis
patients
