Abstract :
Anxiety is a feeling of worry about problems that are being faced or that will come. This
anxiety can also make a person uncomfortable so that it hinders the healing process, even
worse, it can exacerbate the illness. But anxiety can also be controlled with pharmacological
and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the management of anxiety with nonpharmacological therapy is five finger hypnosis therapy. The management of this application
aims to determine the effectiveness of five finger hypnotic exercise therapy in type II DM
patients in reducing anxiety. The method of implementing this application uses a case study
strategy. The five-finger hypnotic exercise therapy is carried out once a day for three
consecutive days. Hypnosis is carried out for 10-15 minutes. The results obtained after doing
hypnotic exercise therapy showed a decrease in mild anxiety with a score of 20 (mild anxiety)
with a score of 12 (not anxious). It can be concluded that the effective application of five
finger hypnosis therapy can reduce anxiety levels in type II DM sufferers in the Parungkuda
area, Sukabumi Regency.
