Abstract :
Caries is a cavity disease caused by bacteria from the food consumed. Dental caries
can interfere with a child's eating pattern due to holes in the teeth which make
children uncomfortable when eating. The initial sign of a carious lesion is a white
spot on the surface of the tooth, this indicates an area of enamel demineralization,
which may turn brown but over time will develop into cavitation. Dental caries can
also be prevented by using the tooth brushing method with animated videos. This
application aims to educate and prevent dental caries in preschool children. This
research method uses a case study strategy. Researchers conducted tooth brushing
education with animation once a day for three consecutive days. This method is
carried out for 40 minutes. Before doing the activity for the first time, we contracted
time and then prepared the tools needed, especially infocus and laptops. The results
obtained after carrying out the tooth brushing method with animated videos for 3
consecutive days showed changes in tooth brushing habits and food consumed.
