Abstract :
Elderly with changes in the aging process that will affect all aspects of health, including life which has an impact on sleep quality. The older a person is, his physical abilities will decrease, so the lack of daily activities or structured activities will will reduce sleep time in the ederly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship activity and sleep quality for the elderly at the posyandu for the elderly Purna Karya Bhakti Tawanganom, Magetan.
This research method uses quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were elderly people aged 60-74 years at the post-workshop service center posyandu, Tawanganom Magetan village. The sampling technique in this study is Total Sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 38 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis using Chi Square test. The results of this study indicate that the p value is 0.007 which means it is smaller than of 0.05 so it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between physical activity and sleep quality for the elderly at the Posyandu Lansia Purna Karya Bhakti, Tawanganom Magetan. This study concluded that physical activity affects the quality of sleep in the elderly. Good and regular physical activity such as elderly exercise, walking in the morning, sprinting, lifting groceries, and doing household physical activities. These activities can improve a healthy lifestyle and make good and make good and comfortable sleep quality in the ederly.
