Abstract :
Hyperthermia in typhoid pediatric patients is caused by Salmonella typi bacteria. If hyperthermia is not treated, it can lead to headaches, muscle aches, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fatigue. To reduce or rather control fever in children, it can be done in various ways, one of which is by using warm compresses with the tepid water sponge method. The purpose of taking this case study is to determine nursing care in pediatric patients with typhoid fever with hyperthermia nursing problems.
Nursing care for pediatric patients with typhoid fever with hyperthermia nursing problems in the Fahrudin room at the Muhammadiyah Ponorogo General Hospital on July 21-23 2022 which was carried out for 3 days. The method used is a case study approach. The results of the study found that An. A fever with body temperature 37.9ºC. From this analysis, hyperthermia management actions and fever management education were carried out.
The results of the evaluation on An. A with the problem of hyperthermia resolved with the patient's criteria of improving body temperature and improving skin temperature. With this, the patient and family are able to handle the occurrence of typhoid fever.
