Abstract :
Neonatal jaundice is a clinical condition in infants with yellow skin and sclera due to excessive accumulation of indirect bilirubin. The purpose of taking this case study is to find out nursing care for hyperbilirubin baby patients with neonatal jaundice nursing problems. Nursing care for hyperbilirubin baby patients with neonatal jaundice nursing problems in the Teratai room, RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo for 3 days starting from 09-11 June 2022. The methods used in the nursing care process are assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation of nursing. The results of the study obtained data that By.Ny. S is a premature baby with a gestational age of 30 weeks, birth weight 1,600 grams, then decreased weight loss to 1,220 grams for 3 days and breastfed only 10 cc every 8 hours. By.Mrs. S has jaundice from head to knee, total serum bilirubin is 23.30 mg/dL. From the above analysis it can be established that the diagnosis of neonatal jaundice is associated with abnormal weight loss (>7-8% in breastfed newborns). The intervention was neonate phototherapy. Nursing actions that can be given are irradiation to infants for 1x24 hours using phototherapy equipment by observing jaundice and vital signs every 4 hours. The evaluation results obtained after the neonatal phototherapy nursing action is expected to reduce the patient's jaundice and increase the patient's weight, so that in the future jaundice does not occur again.
