PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY IN MAINTAINING NUMBER OF NEW STUDENTS AT THE MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH (MI) KENGOMULYO, NGUNTORONADI DISTRICT, MAGETAN REGENCY. Riana Dwi Jayanti 19240774 This thesis is entitled Public Relations Strategy in Maintaining Number of New Students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Kengomulyo, Nguntoronadi District, Magetan Regency. The purpose of this study was to find out how the public relations strategy, the obstacles to the public relations strategy, and efforts to overcome the obstacles to the public relations strategy in maintaining number of new students at the MI Kenongomulyo, Nguntoronadi District, Magetan Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely research by producing data in descriptive form in the form of written or spoken words from the subject and object being observed. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Public relations strategy theory according to Rosady Ruslan is used in this research. Elements of public relations strategy theory include: 1) operational strategy, 2) persuasive and educative approaches, 3) social responsibility approaches, and 4) collaborative approaches. From the results of the study it can be concluded that MI Kenongomulyo has carried out 4 theories of public relations strategy according to Rosady Ruslan to maintain number of new students, through the excellent programs offered.
