Abstract :
Ineffective breastfeeding is a condition where the mother and baby experience dissatisfaction or difficulty with breastfeeding. Failure in the breastfeeding process is often caused by the emergence of several problems, both problems in the mother or in the baby. Mothers who experience labor through a cesarean section will experience IMD difficulties due to weakness due to the influence of the anesthesia previously given and incisions in the mother's abdomen. Therefore, mothers with caesarean sections can breastfeed after a few hours after giving birth. This writing aims to determine ineffective breastfeeding nursing care for post partum mothers with caesarean section. The type of writing used is descriptive writing in the form of case studies with the nursing process approach method. The subject of this case study was a post partum primipara sectio caesarea mother with the problem of ineffective breastfeeding nursing in the Melati room of RSU Darmayu Ponorogo during 18-22 May 2023. The results of this case study found a nursing diagnosis, namely ineffective breastfeeding, as evidenced by subjective data of breast milk not gushing out, the mother's nipples were chafed, the mother's ignorance of the benefits and importance of breast milk for mother and baby, correct breastfeeding position, and how to care for the breast. Planning focuses on mothers and families to provide breastfeeding education. The evaluation that was obtained after carrying out the nursing process for 3 days on the client indicated that there was an improved breastfeeding status. It is hoped that medical personnel will improve their breastfeeding status by providing breastfeeding education for mothers who are giving birth, especially for mothers who are giving birth for the first time so that they can properly meet the needs of their babies.
