Abstract :
In Indonesia, renewable energy sources are very abundant, one of which is water energy sources. Water energy sources in Indonesia alone are estimated to reach 94,449 MW. In the utilization of water energy, water turbines are needed. Pelton turbine is a type of water turbine, especially the most efficient impulse turbine. Therefore, this research uses pelton turbines to get maximum efficiency. In this study using experimental methods with a nozzle diameter variation of 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm and 9 mm which this researcher aims to find which nozzle diameter works best on pelton turbines. Based on the results of this study, it is obtained that the nozzle diameter of 7 mm has the best efficiency at a load of 300 grams, the resulting efficiency reaches 41.686%. The greatest turbine power occurs on a 9 mm nozzle with a result of 26.166 Watt at 300 gr loading, and the greatest torque is produced on a 9 mm nozzle at a load of 600 gr 0.865 Nm.
