Abstract :
The Relationship Between Mother?s Role in Providing Educational Game Tools with Fine Motoric Development in Children at PAUD Bina Insani Magetan By: Eka Hadi Pratama NIM. 18631727 ABSTRACT The fine motor development between children is not the same. In order to improve children?s fine motor development, every child needs to receive routine stimulation as early as possible and continuously at every opportunity. It takes the role of parents, especially mothers, in providing overall stimulation, both in physical, mental and social aspects. One of the roles of mothers in stimulating children's fine motor development is by providing educational games. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the mother's role in providing educational game tools and fine motor development in children at PAUD Bina Insani Magetan. This research is a non-experimental quantitative study with a correlation study design using a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 21 mothers with children aged 3-5 years at Bina Insani PAUD, Selorejo Village, Kawedanan District, Magetan Regency, which were obtained using a total sampling technique. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires and observation of the monitoring results of the Denver Development Screening Test (DDST). Research data were analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed that were 18 mothers (85,8%) who had adequately and well provided educational game tools for their children at the PAUD Bina Insani Magetan and only 3 people (14,2%) did not provide educational game tools for their children. Fine motor development in children at PAUD Bina Insani Magetan showed that 11 children (52,4%) had normal fine motor development, 7 children (33,3%) with suspect criteria and 3 children (14,3%) with untestable criteria. The results of the Fisher Exact Test obtained a p-value (0,047) ? 0.05 so that it was proven that there was a relationship between the mother's role in providing educational game tools with fine motor development in children at PAUD Bina Insani Magetan with the strength of the relationship between variables at a moderate level. Hopefully with this research, PAUD Bina Insani Magetan will be able to coordinate with the parents of their students to have the same commitment in improving children's fine motor skills, especially by providing educational game tools, both at home and in PAUD.
