In the current era of modernization, social networks have become the main platform used by the public to obtain information. What's more, social media is slowly but surely competing with other media in providing information to the public, especially through social networking platforms such as YouTube. The purpose of this observation is related to how the message and meaning regarding the Kenta Sakurai L-Men Gain Mass Milk Ad in Seeing the Meaning of Masculinity. This study uses a communication approach with a focus on advertising with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis to recognize masculinity based on the relationship between signs and meanings contained in L-Men Gainmass milk advertisements. In this advertisement, the main object used is L'men Gain Mass milk which is serves to help represent the image of masculinity when consuming it. This conclusion shows that the advertisement "L-Men Gain Mass" utilizes stereotypes and images of ideal masculinity to influence consumer perceptions and behavior.
