Abstract :
In the learning of a teacher when teaching students tactics or strategies are
also needed. Strategies are general patterns of teacher and student activities in
realizing teaching and learning activities that have been determined. Without a
strategy in the learning process, the desired learning objectives will not be achieved
properly. Between teachers, students, and strategies must be applied together so
that the learning process can run well in accordance with the agreed goals. This
study aims to determine the Tahfidz Teacher's Strategy in Improving the Quality of
New Santri's Qiroatul Qur'an at Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School
Ahmad Dahlan Putra Ponorogo.
In this study using a qualitative methodology. Data collection was carried
out using interviews conducted with 6 informants, observations, and
documentation. The data that has been obtained is analyzed with the Miles and
Hubberman model.
The results showed that the quality of the Qiroatul Qur'an of new students
at the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School of Ahmad Dahlan Putra
Ponorogo, before entering the boarding school, tended to make many mistakes in
the makhorijul letters and tajwid rules. In the process of improving the quality of
the Qiroatul Qur'an of students at the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School
Ahmad Dahlan Putra Ponorogo, the teacher used a strategy with the book
?tashila?. The teacher makes preparations before teaching reading standards,
makhorijul letters, and also tajwid to students. On average, students complete
repairs with the teacher within three months. There was a significant change in the
quality of the students' qiroatul Qur'an. However, there are still some students who
complete the process for more than three months. Supporting factors
includecompetent teachers in their fields, teacher enthusiasm in teaching, teacher
and child motivation, children's enthusiasm, support from parents of students,
learning facilities, availability of books. Inhibiting factors were children who
lacked concentration in participating in the learning process, the different abilities
of the students, the number of members exceeding the standard, time management,
physical health (sore eyes, throat, fever), psychological health (stress, irritability),
lack of seriousness. Pessimistic (doubtful, anxious, feeling unintelligent), students
are sleepy and lack focus, feel lazy.
