ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MARRIAGE AGE AND STUNTING INCIDENCE IN TODDLERS IN THE WORKING AREA OF KARANGTENGAH PUSKESMAS, WONOGIRI DISTRICT By : SAIFUL RAHMAN WIBAWA The ideal age of marriage according to laws and regulations is only permitted if the man and woman have reached the age of 19 (nineteen) years, one of the effects of marriage under 19 years from a health perspective can affect the nutritional status of children born to mothers. The method used was cross sectional with a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 198 mothers who have children aged 0-24 months. This study used questionnaires and documentation instruments. Univariate data analysis using the Z-Score with the criteria of Not stunting (Zscore ?-2.0) and Stunting (Zscore < -0.02), and bivariately using Fisher's Exact Test with SPSS. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age at marriage and the incidence of stunting cases in the working area of the Karangtengah Health Center. From the results of research conducted in the working area of the Karangtengah Health Center, Wonogiri Regency, the majority of respondents were married at a mature age (?19 years), 139 respondents had non-stunted toddlers and 15 stunted toddlers. Meanwhile, 12 respondents were married in the early age category (<19 years), who had toddlers who were not stunted and 32 other respondents had stunted toddlers. Based on the results of the Chi-square analysis using SPSS, the p-value was 0.00 (?=0.05). Based on this analysis, it means that there is a relationship between the age of marriage and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. It is hoped that this research can be taken into consideration for educating the public, especially parents and prospective parents in an effort to prevent and overcome the problem of stunting in toddlers\ Keyword: age of marriage, stunting, short
