UMI FARIKHA MULTAZAM: analysis of students' number sense strategies in solving number in class V SDIT QURROTA A'YUN PONOROGO. Thesis. Ponorogo: Mathematics Education Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, 2021.
This study aims to compare the use of number sense strategies based on their level of mathematical success. The participants were 30 fifth grade students at Sdit Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. Data was collected through a written exam with 10 questions and semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed by considering the students' mathematical success and the differences and similarities between the responses. Interviews were conducted with six students with different levels of mathematics success. The results show that students use number sense strategies less often and mostly solve problems using rules and algorithms, so it is necessary for teachers' criteria for mathematical competence. The results of interviews with students are attitudes in solving problems using rule-based solutions and algorithms.
