Visual hallucinations are hallucinations that involve the sense of sight, as if seeing an object but in fact the object is not in front of it. Visual hallucinations are usually seen in the form of objects, visual patterns, dead humans, or floating light. For example, if a client sees someone in the room, that person is actually not in the room, or sees a flashing light that other normal people cannot see.
Nursing care is carried out in the Regional Mental Hospital Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta for five days at the end of January to early February. The method used in this scientific paper is a nursing care approach.
From the results of the study, it was found that Mr. S often sees the shadow of money changing every day, like the big black shadow, pocong, the old man that usually appears in front of him. The nursing action taken to overcome the problem is by giving the SP (Implementation Strategy) action for 5 consecutive days which is useful for controlling the hallucinations of Mr. S. The evaluation results obtained Mr. S understands and can apply in everyday life ways to control hallucinations.
This nursing care is expected to increase the patient's knowledge in an effort to control the patient's hallucinations
