Abstract :
Iskandar Dinata Ramadhany, NPM. 16110119 ?PERAN PODCAST SEBAGAI MEDIA PENYIARAN MODERN BERBASIS AUDIO? Bimbingan Dr. Murdiansyah Herman, S.Sos, M.AP sebagai pembimbing utama dan Bapak M. Agus Humaidi, S.I.Kom, M.I.Kom sebagai Co Pembimbing. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai peran podcast sebagai media dalam penyiaran modern dengan menggunakan Teori Kebutuhan dan Kepuasan audiens dalam menggunakan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implikasi podcast sebagai media hiburan alternatif lain guna memenuhi kepuasan audiens. Metode yang diguakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan Studi Kasus terhadap mengapa audiens mendengarkan siaran podcast. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pola yang sama antara data potensial dengan empiris, yaitu pola konsumsi penggunaan podcast. Pola konsumsi ini kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 tahapan proses, yaitu podcast dalam penyiaran modern, podcast dalam benak audiens, serta implikasi podcast sebagai media alternatif hiburan dalam dunia penyiaran modern. Agus Humaidi, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom as Co Counselor. This study discusses the role of podcasts in modern broadcasting using Uses and Grattification theory . This study aims to determine the implications of podcasts becoming alternative entertainment media to audience. The method used is a qualitative approach with Case Studies and the reasons why audience listen to podcast. The results of this study indicate a similar pattern between potential and empirical data, namely the consumption patterns of podcast use. This consumption pattern is then divided into 3 stages of the process, namely the podcast becoming modern broadcasting, using podcast in audience and the implications of podcasts being modern broadcasting to entertaining audience.
